Dana Kunze 172 Feet World record
Dana Kunze Sets High Dive Record 172 Feet

High Diving is an extreme part of diving. In this video Dana Kunze sets the world high dive record of 172 feet. Dana tells us that this dive was at Sea World – San Diego in 1983.

Most people think just diving from that height gave him the record. In fact he was not the only diver to dive from 172 feet. Even at that height judges scores were awarded and the diver with the highest score proclaimed the world record holder.

Dana Kunze began his professional high diving career in 1974 at the age of 13.[1] He won his first world championship 1977 and maintained a winning streak for seven years. After Dana stopped setting records he began a company that produces High Dive Shows.
