The 2007 AAU Nationals A Little Like Woodstock

In August 1969 they decided to have a outdoor concert on a farm in upstate NY. They though a few thousand people might come. A few thousand did come, and so did a half million of their friends. Woodstock was wet and muddy and not what the promoters planed...it was historic!

In July 2007 the AAU planed a National Diving Meet. They expected a good turn out. They did not expect 564 divers, 1,205 event entries, 11,035 dives or 53,536 judge scores. DiveMeets ran every event and captured every score, it was wet and hot and not what the promoters planed... it was historic! This video shows a record setting 6 separate simultaneous events. DiveMeets managed this meet and I was there. Jay and Wendy Lerew and their dedicated volunteers worked overtime to keep the meet on time and to provide services for the divers, families and coaches. Special thanks to Lenny Layland and Luke Bagnaschi for managing multiple scores tables.
